Multiple Sclerosis

Having to go through life with hindered abilities is hard sometimes. We live in a world that has expectations that we are able to accomplish any task we are presented with, any time. Bathing, grooming and getting dressed, cooking and cleaning, all are designed with the fully functioning individual in mind. While some of these may be modified to make it easier to use, some simply cannot.

SIGMA HomeCare caregivers deal with neuromuscular disease and Muscular Dystrophy, by aiding them with daily tasks in order for them to remain independent, in which goes on to improve their quality of life.

Why SIGMA HomeCare?

Clients and their families who are dealing with neuromuscular disease and Muscular Dystrophy have a spectrum of individual needs. For different people, a diagnosis can impact them differently depending on how far along the disease has progressed and which disease, in particular, they’re afflicted with. Depending on these factors, different levels of support and care may be required.

First Steps

SIGMA HomeCare realizes that in order to determine what sort of care is best for the individual, the first step that needs to be taken is to meet with the client for a complimentary in-home assessment. Over the course of the visit, we’ll try to learn more about how their symptoms are impacting their day to day activities and tasks in order to create a customized care plan.

Specific Training

Even though there are some standard components that our caregivers are knowledgeable in when aiding any of our clients, our care team’s members are trained extensively, with specializations in neuromuscular disease and Muscular Dystrophy which enables us to offer you a custom and tailored approach to your individual needs. Additionally, SIGMA HomeCare has a National partnership with the MDA. Our offices work closely alongside the MDA district office in their specific city and state. Through this close partnership, our team is able to remain updated on the most recent treatments, researches, and resources that are most impactful to the lives of our clients and their families.
